Hello, InternetJune 7, 2015 / No Comments
I’m a 29-year-old attorney. I practice entertainment and education law, representing musicians and education companies both big and small.
Check out this blog if you share any of my interests: law, the music industry, and popular culture. Most of the posts will only be about 250 words. I will rationalize to myself that I am trying to achieve snappy prose, but really I’m probably just lazy.
And because narcissism and the Internet go together like Jif and Smuckers, this blog will also include posts about happenings in my life. I have some things on the horizon that I lack the humbleness to keep to myself:
- I have a book scheduled to be released later this year. It is about how independent artists can succeed in the music business. The manuscript is done and my publisher is editing it. It will be my first book. I learned a lot from the experience of writing it–mainly that it is really hard to write books.
- I also hope to be putting together a podcast over the next couple months to help promote the book. I imagine that podcasting will be much easier than writing the book was. I wish I had simply done just the podcast instead.
- I will be a licensed attorney in California in a few months. I passed the California Bar this year and I am going through the application process now. This will be my third state of licensure.
Drop me a line sometime. I’d love to hear from you!
